You wont find any sulphur herewhat you will find is a spring-fed freshwater lake brimming with Trout, Kokanee, Burbot (freshwater cod) and Rainbow Trout. Our waters are also great for fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing, and more. As the only resort on Sulphurous Lake, our guests get to experience the thrill of nature with the comforts of home. Welcome to our little piece of paradise.

Located on the main highway, one block from the downtown core, Sandman Inn Smithers boasts of 35 comfortably well appointed guest rooms and suites. A business centre, fitness facility, and meeting facilities make this Sandman the perfect choice for your next stay.

Open from May through September! Online booking available March 1st. Located on the shores of beautiful Comox Lake, the Cumberland Lake Park Campground consists of a total of 59 sites ; 20 are serviced (electricity and water), 6 are RV unserviced, and 33 are unserviced. Site options consist of forested and lakefront choices. There are also two group sites that will accommodate up to 25 people and is available for booking all summer. Max stay is 14 days during July and August. Monthly rates are available in May, June and September.

We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well. The Gold Panner Campground is family operated and located in the foothills of the Monashee mountains. Our campground is dog friendly. We kindly ask that you clean up after your dog and keep them on a leash at all times. Some of the amenities at the Gold Panner Campground are: a covered BBQ area, playground, museum, coin operated showers, flushing toilets, and multiple outhouses. Whether your camping in a tent, 5th wheel, truck camper, RV, camper van, car, truck, motor home, van, or travelling lite and need a chalet or cabin, we will have something for you. There are 3 beautiful Chalets that sleep 8-9 and 4 smaller cabins that sleep up to 6.
