Today, the extraordinary historic town of Barkerville stands as a living testament to BCs golden beginnings. With its unique street scape of more than 125 heritage buildings, period displays, satellite museums, restaurants and shops there is still so much to explore.

Bootleg Gap Golf, located in Kimberley British Columbia, is truly a complete golf facility. With 27 outstanding holes, and a stunning location along the St. Mary River. The Championship course at Bootleg Gap is highlighted with the 12th, a dramatic par-3 that swoops down into the hoodoo-lined hillside and is one of the most scenic par-3s in the region. For variety try the Recreational 9; it's a hybrid and fun for every level of player.

Located in the village of Stuie, British Columbia on the banks of the Atnarko River, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is located on the traditional territory of the Nuxalk and Ulkatcho First Nations. The lodge is located in an extraordinary area where the worlds most interconnected fjord system, the worlds largest temperate rainforest, and a dramatic mountain landscape of glaciers, plunging creeks, pristine rivers, and granite cliffs converge. Much of the area is now protected as part of The Great Bear Rainforest or Tweedsmuir Provincial Park. The area is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is one of the most pristine grizzly bear habitats in the world. The historic lodge has been welcoming guests since 1931. Guests of the lodge may select either a Small Group or a Private package. Come nightfall, guests stay in their own private chalet or elevated suite right at the forest's edge. All accommodations surround the large central lawn and offer excellent views with exceptional privacy.

We love fishing for salmon, halibut, ling cod and rock fish as well as pawning and crabbing. We provide year round fishing charters & marine tours. Whether you want to fish or explore the East Coast or West Coasts of Vancouver Island, we are ideally placed to move to where the fish are. The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events. Our mission is to promote an appreciation of community heritage by preserving and presenting history through events, exhibits, and programs. We welcome everyone to discover our shared heritage.

A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Don't forget your camera as you transition from pine plateau to coastal rainforest, as there will be many photo opportunities along the way including grizzly bears and snow capped mountains.
