Country Maples RV Resort is located on Vancouver Island near the town of Chemainus, which is 14 km north of the City of Duncan. This building is truly special. It is one of only a few commercial buildings in BC from this era with intact interior elements. It contains all of the counters, shelving, gas lights, string holders, paper dispensers, as well as a cash register, weigh scale, coffee grinder, cheese wheel and many other items that were used in the operation of the store. The museum aslo contains information on Ainsworth's rich history in the region. Stepping into this store is truly like stepping back in time. The museum also hosts an artisan gift shop filled with beautiful handmade goods as well as an amazing selection of crystals, gemstones, singing bowls, leather goods, and eco friendly Canadian made clothing.
