The Kootenay Lake Historical Society is the custodian of the S.S. Moyie, the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. The Moyie plied Kootenay Lake for 59 years - it is now a National Historic Site and Museum. Open from May through October, visitors are taken back in time when the board the vessel. A peaceful and secluded resort in the heart of Salt Spring Island has something for everyone - single guests, couples, families and large groups can be accommodated. Sea otter Enhydra Lutris and whale watching tours in Esperanza Inlet on the west coast of north Vancouver Island. Boat tours last about 5 hours with shore break. The price of $600 is per boat charter; there is a 12 person limit. Accommodation & meal packages available. Sea otters can be viewed year round, Humpback whales usually show up late spring to fall. Black bears can be spotted after April.

Join a local guide for a uniquely Canadian experience on one of the mountain lakes surrounding Sun Peaks. Try your hand at catching a few of the hard-fighting wild Rainbow Trout through the ice.
