Jags Beanstalk is a family owned bistro with four guest rooms. Located in Skidegate on Haida Gwaii, just 1 mile north of BC Ferry Terminal and a 10 minute walk to the Haida Heritage Centre. The bistro is open 6 days a week & closed on Sunday. Bistro serves a full breakfast & lunch menu, espresso coffee & fresh daily pastries. Historic site with guided tours of original roadhouse (hotel) built in 1860. Over 20 original buildings and many pieces of old farm equipment. The Traditional Indigenous Village has displays of early food storage, shelters, and traditions. Stage Coach rides, daily demonstrations, panning and all is included with your admission. We are a family owned and operated lakefront resort with lodging in modern, well-maintained cabins and RV park. We offer pontoon boat, aluminum boat with motor, kayak and canoe rentals. Each cabin and RV site has it's own assigned dock space. The fishing is great, Loon Lake has native rainbow trout only; it not stocked, but the fish are plentiful. Beautiful natural landscape with riparian shoreline. There is no beach, but enjoying a float, swimming off the end of the docks and jumping off a rented pontoon boat are very popular water activities on hot days. RV park has coin operated showers, bathrooms, firepits, free firewood and is pet friendly.
