You may encounter grey whales feeding around enormous kelp beds, humpback whales flashing their unique tails as they dive to feed, orca whales following the migrating salmon, or porpoises playfully gliding alongside the boat. We are a non-profit educational and spiritual retreat Centre dedicated to teaching the core principles of yoga which embody peace, resilience, and belonging. Founded in 1981 by the Dharma Sara Satsang, in honor of master yogi Baba Hari Dass from India the Centre is the west coast of Canadas longest running spiritual and wellness retreat Centre. Here, the magic of our 69 acres of land weaves together with the stories of those transformed by it and the spirit of selfless service is sewn into every tiny detail. It all happens here.

Sorrento Centre welcomes large events, small groups and individual guests to relax and enjoy our beautiful 24-acre main campus, including our private waterfront on the Shuswap Lake. Visit hiking trails and biking routes and rest in great beauty. Motel/lodge rooms (some with cooking facilities), private cabins, serviced RV spaces, cozy cabanas and tent sites (including those with a view of Shuswap Lake). Sorrento Centre hosts groups from 5 to 500. We have a large site beside the lake, and varied buildings which can offer great versatility to your organization. We have three lodges with comfortable accommodation, several conference spaces and many beautiful outdoor settings for your group to engage in what excites you. Our kitchen is delighted to provide family style meal service to your group of 12 or more. Three meals a day plus snacks are available, with previous arrangement. We use produce from our own farm whenever possible and love to share the bounty of this place. We cater for some dietary concerns creating vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free meals when given advance notice. Please ask about choosing your own menu if you have special requests or just loved what you had last time you were visiting.
