Choose from fun & splashy Class II/III rapids or more challenging (and bigger!) Class IV rapids for an adrenaline-pumping adventure. Guests need only bring a bathing suit and towel; top-quality wetsuits, neoprene booties & gloves, spray jackets, life jackets and helmets are provided. Our River Base offers heated indoor change rooms and spacious covered decks for enjoying views of the river and mountains. Conveniently located on TransCanada Hwy #1; 45 minutes west of Lake Louise. Our location off Trans-Canada Highway 1 puts our pet-friendly Abbotsford hotel within walking distance to 2 shopping plazas with supermarkets, professional services, bistros and fast food restaurants. This building is truly special. It is one of only a few commercial buildings in BC from this era with intact interior elements. It contains all of the counters, shelving, gas lights, string holders, paper dispensers, as well as a cash register, weigh scale, coffee grinder, cheese wheel and many other items that were used in the operation of the store. The museum aslo contains information on Ainsworth's rich history in the region. Stepping into this store is truly like stepping back in time. The museum also hosts an artisan gift shop filled with beautiful handmade goods as well as an amazing selection of crystals, gemstones, singing bowls, leather goods, and eco friendly Canadian made clothing.
