Hughes during a time when agricultural land was plentiful.Since 1984 the Gebert Familys use sustainable farming practices on their 80 acre vineyard to produce wines that reflect the terroir of the north Okanagan Valley under the St Hubertus & Oak Bay Label.

The Mission Museum is located in Mission, BC, Canada, and is dedicated to upholding the goals of the Mission District Historical Society: "Recording our History, Educating the Community, Preserving our Heritage." Operated by the Society, the Mission Museum exists for the purpose of preserving the history of Mission by way of the collection, preservation, documentation, research and interpretation of three-dimensional objects related to our community's history, making it available to all people through exhibits, events and public programming. Our collection consists of over 10,000 objects which have been donated over the years by businesses, organizations and individual members of the community.

U'mista also has summer programs from Tuesdays to Fridays July and August check their facebook site for schedules closer to summer months. The Alert Bay Library-Museum has many photographs of local history & items from early settlement years. The Ecological Park has boardwalk through a marsh and short trails surounding the park. One of Pentictons unique and favourite summer activities is floating down the River Channel. Visitors are invited to rent inner tubes and rafts and take a leisurely ride down the 7 kilometre long Channel to Skaha Lake. The River Channel is located between Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. The float starts at the Coyote Cruises launch site at 215 Riverside Drive. If you need floating tubes and a ride back to your vehicle Coyote Cruises will provide both. If you are looking to rent a tube or raft or simply require transportation once you are done floating the Channel, Coyote Cruises can help you out. Pick up is at the end point only in 2020.

A 300 acre nature reserve with level walking trails, bird viewing blinds, observation tower and interpretive centre (free) . Known for a large nesting colony of Great Blue Herons which nest from March through July. Great bird and wildlife watching. Check website for free community programs and special events. Trail open dawn to dusk. Rotary Interpretive Centre is open 10 am to 4 pm.

All outdoor facilities – such as EV chargers, sani-dump station, dog run, and picnic benches – are still available for use. For public washrooms and immediate tourist information, please visit the Aberdeen Mall across the street during its hours of operation.
