Large runs of salmon migrate annually past the West Coast of Vancouver Island, feeding and bulking up before heading for their spawning grounds.Sooke's mild climate allows for year-round fishing. May through September you can fish for hard fighting Chinooks 5 to 50 pounds - delicious Sockeye 5 to 12 pounds, energetic Coho 5 to 24 pounds, scrappy Pinks 5 to 8 and hard fighting Chums 6 to 20 pounds July through October - yummy Winter Chinooks 5 to 20 pounds November into March.

We are situated on 70 acres where we have a 5-acre fenced garden, an orchard and greenhouse, and largely undeveloped fields and forest. We are located in the pristine Spider Lake area north of Qualicum Beach near the world famous Horne Lake Caves.

This year she has twins and I seen them for the first time romping through a field of daisies. Crazy lucky I feel to live here and enjoy these moments. Both cottages are now fully equipped with kitchenettes so you may have options to cook a light meal at home or for a special occasion please ask and I am happy to offer breakfast or late afternoon cheese plate served to you out in your hideaway.
