We offer world class salmon fishing charters from Quadra Island and Campbell River. The waters surrounding Quadra are known as the Salmon Capital of the World. All five species of salmon can be caught from May thru October. This makes a perfect environment for a successful fishing trip. You will fish in comfort out of a 24ft covered cruiser with marine head (toilet).

At Whistler's retail "The Shops" at the Westin, Fathom Stone Art Gallery has expanded offering stone art classes daily for locals and visitors. Classes include the 1 hour pendant, 1-2 & 3 hour inukshuk, 3 hour 2-D wildlife, 4 to 6 hour 3-D bear, or 6+ hour freestyle classes. Class participants come and go as they please making their art at their own pace. You get to take home your completed soapstone carving made in the heart of Whistler village. Drop in's welcome from 12 noon to 6 pm, please come see the carving live! (9AM to 10 PM upon appointment 24 hours advance notice) Just bring yourself and lunch/dinner money, take-out food locations are on the village stroll. Your day will start with a scenic jet boat trip down Quesnel Lake to the Cariboo Mountains Park and into the wetlands of the Mitchell and Penfold Rivers. This eco system is as it has been for all time. Your senses will be rewarded with sights of Salmon swimming in the crystal clear river, beavers swimming with tree branches in their mouth. Rounding a bend in the river you can spot grizzly bears feeding on the returning salmon. Large Giant Ancient Cedar Forests surround you so you have the chance to hike in un-spoiled wilderness. This adventure can be extended for up to a week by staying at our out post cabin at the end of the North arm of Quesnel Lake. The river will be full of red sockeye salmon. You will need to bring a telephoto lens for those shots of a life time. You will see Grizzly cubs with thier mothers as well as big male grizzlies.

The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is located in a park-like setting with a peaceful rustic atmosphere. When visiting the centre you will be able to view eagles, several species of owls, falcons, hawks, ravens, and black bears. Rehabilitating eagles can be viewed through one way glass in the largest flight enclosure of its kind in Canada. The Centre's mandate is the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife, with a focus on raptors and black bears. GUIDED TOURS: are available for groups of 15 or more. HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. ENTRANCE FEES: $15.00.00 adults, $6.00 children aged 3-12, plus applicable taxes.
