The friendly and knowledgeable information councilors at the CRVC are prepared to help you plan and navigate your trip, and will make you feel at home in the luscious Cowichan Valley. The Visitor Centre is within a 10 minute drive of many of the region's highlights, including the famous Duncan City of Totems, Chemainus City of Murals, world-class wineries, quaint artisan galleries, and unforgettable whale watching experiences. If you're looking for lunch recommendations or a place to stay, our councilors would be happy to help make bookings and provide directions. The CRVC also hosts a variety of local souvenirs, books, and clothing items to fit your travel needs. Feel free to stop in for a coffee and to use the free WiFi.

The lodge is located in an extraordinary area where the worlds most interconnected fjord system, the worlds largest temperate rainforest, and a dramatic mountain landscape of glaciers, plunging creeks, pristine rivers, and granite cliffs converge. Much of the area is now protected as part of The Great Bear Rainforest or Tweedsmuir Provincial Park. The area is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is one of the most pristine grizzly bear habitats in the world. The historic lodge has been welcoming guests since 1931. Guests of the lodge may select either a Small Group or a Private package. Come nightfall, guests stay in their own private chalet or elevated suite right at the forest's edge. Sweetwater Lane Farm is a functioning 7 acre homestead farm where we raise all our own food. The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin features a hot tub, sauna and cold plunge along with a fire pit and unobstructed views of Mount Currie. Located 20 minutes from Pemberton and Joffre Lakes & 45 minutes from Whistler Blackcomb. We live 150 mts from the cabin and provide as much or little service as you desire. We offer free farm tours to all guests to get up close with animals and learn about our farm.
