In Valemount's original Railway Station from 1914, the Valemount & Area Museum showcases how the pioneers of the Robson Valley lived during the last century. Farming, forestry and fur fueled the economy. All of this is lovingly displayed by the Valemount Historic Society, descendants of those pioneers, whom opened the museum in 1992, after nearly 5 years of restoring and refurbishing. Trains, teachers, internment camps, outfitters, farmers, war heroes and more await your visit. The Annex outbuilding displays a magnificent collection of chainsaws and farming implements. Our caboose houses every tool you would need to maintain the tracks. The pièce de résistance is the train station itself with 3 floors of amazing displays. Entry by donation

Stags Hollow is a family-owned winery in Okanagan Falls, producing some of British Columbias most distinctive wines. Located in BC's South Okanagan, in the new sub-geographical indicator (sub-GI) of Okanagan Falls, Stag's Hollow Winery owns two vineyards... Stag's Hollow Estate and Shuttleworth Creek. Always innovative, with a spirit to be unique and push the limits of grape growing and winemaking in the Okanagan, the team at Stag's Hollow has researched and sought out new and old grapes suited to the area's soils and microclimate. These include Tempranillo and Albariño from Spain, and Dolcetto and Teroldego from Italy. These unique varietals offer a new tasting experience for the Okanagan Wine lover. Although these grapes come from all over the world, wines we produce from these grapes are identifiable, as being from nowhere else in the world but from the Okanagan Valley. Laying in a desert-like setting at the foot of sagebrush-covered hills above the majestic South Thompson River, Rivershore is honest, fair, unpretentious and generously bunkered (95 bunkers). U'mista Cultural Centre is one of the longest-operating and most successful First Nations cultural facilities in BC, founded in 1980 as a ground breaking project to house potlatch artifacts which had been seized by government during an earlier period of cultural repression. The return of the potlatch artifacts not only provided U'mista's name ('the return of something important'), and sparked a general trend toward repatriation of First Nations and cultural artifacts, it caused the creation of a physical facility and human resources infrastructure which have been successfully operated for over two decades.U'mista now operates a modern museum and cultural education facility in Alert Bay. Their operations include the museum, an extensive art gallery and gift shop, group tours, and presentations by dance troupes.
