When we were deciding what to call our winery we wondered; "What is it about wine that captivates us, that keeps us coming back for more, and that still interests us after all these years?"Some people like to know where the wine comes from. Others like to know who made it or how it will change with time. The foodies want to know what flavours they will find in their glass and how it will pair with a certain dish.We're all intrigued about wine. It's constantly changing and evolving. That is part of the excitement and allure of winemaking.We came together as partners out of a passion for wine. Discover the natural and human history of Kelowna. Museums are living places, and thats true of Kelownas flagship museum, the Okanagan Heritage Museum too. In fact, the entire permanent gallery has been reimagined! In spring 2019, we wrapped up a multi-year process that saw us overhaul our entire permanent gallery. Pay us a visit and enjoy our new museum. Experience fascinating displays and learn how the Okanagan valley was formed, and why it supports tremendous biodiversity. Step into the world of the syilx/Okanagan people, and gain insights into their close connection to the land. Learn about the arrival of traders and settlers, and peer into the windows of an original Chinatown shop. Meet some individuals from Kelownas past and present, and be inspired by the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame. This museum is also home to two important facilities: the Kelowna Public Archives and the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory.

While everyone enjoys the wine and the view when they come to visit, the most asked question would have to be about our name...On a cool spring morning in 1929, a small crew from Okanagan Falls set off to a deserted mining camp some 16 miles away from home. Their mission: to dismantle an old wooden church and bring it back to Okanagan Falls.The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to "loosen the nails". Odd as it may seem, the explosion spared the wood from damage during dismantling.Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now the 103 year old wooden church stands proudly in its second home of Okanagan Falls and is still an operating United Church. In keeping with its rather remarkable history, the church has since withstood the threat of two major floods, including the disastrous burst of the Okanagan Falls Dam in the early 1950's.In naming our VQA wines "Blasted Church" we celebrate the ingenuity of the initiative to move the church and honor those pioneers for their vision.

Open daily and year-round for tours and tastings, the award-winning vineyard, operating since 1932, is conveniently located close to downtown restaurants and shops and to Knox Mountain Park, one of the city's most scenic areas.

Kelowna Actors Studio Inc. (KAS) was formed in May of 2003 to produce vibrant, exciting presentations of the worlds best loved Broadway productions, present fun, challenging and enriching learning experiences for students of all ages, become the premiere forerunner and prime example of a high quality theatre company and enrich the cultural landscape of the Okanagan valley. Over the past 14 years, Actors Studio has successfully produced over 86 major productions, grown to accommodate over 250 students a semester and won civic and regional awards for their contribution to the arts.
