Chims Cabins is located on the west side of Port Alberni along Highway 4, just a 57 minute drive from the city centre and event venues. Ideal for travelers heading to Tofino, visiting for work, or couples seeking quiet comfort. We offer six (6) self-contained cabins with private entrances, full kitchens, and mountain views. Cabins feature queen beds or a combination of queen and double beds, with pull-out couches and roll-up cots available in select units. Amenities include free Rogers Business Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and one dedicated parking spot per unit (extra parking available upon request). Our eco-conscious property offers on-site garbage, recycling, and food waste disposal. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 guests sharing a queen bed) or number of beds provided. $25 + tax per night applies for each extra guest using the pull-out or cot. We emphatically reject the high capacity people farm model of operation as we only take 8 guests at a time. With a group of 6 or more you can reserve the lodge for your party exclusively.The lodge is appointed with 5 comfortable guest rooms featuring twin beds and sinks, three full service washrooms with shower, a common dining/living area, hot tub and very large deck space.Our chef prepares all meals from scratch and the menu is an ever-changing assortment of fresh caught seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes. The culinary experience at the lodge is simply second to none. Nothing quite feels as satisfying as an incredible meal after a long day on the water slaying fish. We of course can accommodate any and all dietary requirements and restrictions if given notice.

Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is an authentic representation of a once thriving community of canneries, boat yards, and residences, along the scenic shores of the Fraser River.
