We are located on Mile 462 of the historic Alaska Highway on the shores of beautiful Muncho Lake. As a remote lodge, we pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of service for our guests in the middle of the untouched wilderness of Muncho Lake. All of our facilities are available for our guests including Wifi. We are proud to be able to provide our guests with most of the modern comforts despite being so remote. The Northern Rockies Lodge operates year round without any government subsidies and we were able to build over the last 3+ decades a self-sufficient village in the wilderness for you: We generate our own power, our own water and sewage systems. In addition to providing overnight accommodations for the Alcan travellers, we are also a popular vacation destination for many guests. Maybe your vehicle isn't ready for the many miles of potholed dirt roads, mud and logging trucks to get to the lakes. Also, the Powell Forest Canoe Route isn't a full circle rather more U shaped. This is where our service is invaluable, we get you where you need to be in a safe and timely manner so you can get on with your adventure.

The Silvery Slocan Museum, located in the former Bank of Montreal building on Main Street, has been a fixture in New Denver B.C. for over 100 years. The museum features exhibits about the area's heritage, including its mining, logging and agricultural history, as well as the recently restored Lancet motor launch. Admission is by donation.
