The Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre hatchery program is dedicated to maintaining genetic diversity and conserving the population of the Nechako White Sturgeon. The hatchery is used to rear sturgeon eggs into one-year old sturgeon for release into the river. Research projects and programs also run out of the hatchery. Free rod and tackle gear is available. Adults 16 years+ require a basic fishing licence. The Trout Fishing Pond is open May 1 October 31, dawn to dusk.

Home to the Worlds Largest Sculptured Anvil! We are open from April 1st until September 30th, 7 days a week. Something of interest for every age. Kids of all ages love our scavenger hunt, rope making, tomato and egg sorting demonstrations. Visitors learn how people lived without electricity and can see first-hand wooden ice boxes (early refrigerators), see early windmills that pump water and produce light. nearing 100 years old and still running! For the middle aged and senior visitors our artifacts bring back many memories of how folks lived. Remembering what life was like as a kid, seeing the transition from horse power to engines. The collection of artifacts by the Association has evolved from focusing on farming equipment only, to including historical artifacts depicting all aspects of pioneer life. The Museum collection has grown to over 6,100 historical artifacts of farming equipment and pioneer life in British Columbia, on display in two buildings and an outside exhibit area.

Douglas Reynolds Gallery was established in 1995, and is located in Vancouver on Granville street between 7th and 8th avenues in the South Granville gallery district. We specialize in renowned Northwest Coast artwork. The gallery showcases museum quality pieces which make use of contemporary media such as resin, bronze, glass and aluminum. Works include masks, totem poles, bentwood boxes, sculpture, gold and silver jewelry, and early historic objects. Director & owner Douglas Reynolds, has over twenty years of experience dealing with Northwest Coastal native art. The gallery offers pieces by well-known artists such as Bill Reid, Robert Davidson, Jim Hart, Don Yeomans, Beau Dick and Klatle-bhi, while also supporting emerging artists such as Jay Simeon, Phil Gray, David R. Boxley, and Marcus Alfred. Works by these artists can be found in museums and private collections worldwide. We take pride in our friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Chims Cabins is located on the west side of Port Alberni along Highway 4, just a 57 minute drive from the city centre and event venues. Ideal for travelers heading to Tofino, visiting for work, or couples seeking quiet comfort. We offer six (6) self-contained cabins with private entrances, full kitchens, and mountain views. Cabins feature queen beds or a combination of queen and double beds, with pull-out couches and roll-up cots available in select units. Amenities include free Rogers Business Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and one dedicated parking spot per unit (extra parking available upon request). Our eco-conscious property offers on-site garbage, recycling, and food waste disposal. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 guests sharing a queen bed) or number of beds provided. $25 + tax per night applies for each extra guest using the pull-out or cot.
