The Whistler Lodge is a 42 bed backpacker's hostel, centrally located just 3km south of Whistler Village and 1km north of Whistler Creekside. Our historic lodge was built in 1965 by students from UBC's Varsity Outdoor Club and until recently, was operated by the Alma Mater Society of UBC. Now under new ownership & management, we offer bunks in dorm style rooms as well as private and semi private rooms. If you are looking for an authentic Whistler experience, come stay with us!

Also available for rent is a fully-equipped 4 bedroom fishing lodge, which sleeps 10-12 people: The main floor is equipped with a spacious kitchen area, dining area, living area with air conditioning, main bedroom with window air conditioning and 1.5 bathrooms. Off the main area are patio doors leading to a spacious lakeview deck with large picnic tables, BBQ, side table, sink and natural gas fire pit with 6 chairs and 2 stools. On the lower level there are three bedrooms, laundry room and another bathroom with spacious shower.

Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. Our property provides you with all of the comforts and essentials you need for a restorative time away. Each unit is comfortably appointed with beautiful furnishings and queen beds with super plush Polysleep memory foam mattresses. Towels and linens are included. Our glamping units feature private outdoor fire pits and kitchenettes with cold running drinking water, cookware, dishware, and utensils.
