Sand Dollar Log Cabin is a cozy, clean 2 bedroom plus loft, oceanfront cabin with breathtaking views of the white sands of Gillies Bay. Relax on the oceanfront patio and watch the eagles, herons, and hawks soar by. The perfect retreat for couples to unwind or families to make lasting memories. Miles of sand and sealife spread from Gillies Bay, making the beach a perfect place to swim, paddleboard, and kayak. There is a 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, and endless hiking trails all close by. Our cabin has been described as a nature lover's paradise. Nearby restaurants, General Store with liquor, excellent hiking trails, mountain biking, tennis courts, 9 hole golf, waterfront parks, and more. Endless exploring on BC's largest Gulf Island.
Vaseux Lake Provincial Park
Facilities: 12 campsites, pit toilets, water hand pump, nature boardwalk. Location: 25 km south of Penticton on Highway 97. Vaseux Lake Provincial Park is a popular roadside campground that provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, trout and carp. This park boasts beautiful lakeside sites. It is conveniently located on Highway 97 between OK Falls and Oliver. It is minutes away from amenities and popular tourist spots. Viewing platforms at Vaseux Wildlife Centre offer excellent nature sighting opportunities for birds, aquatic life, mountain goats and big horn sheep. Park users at Vaseux Wildlife Centre should use caution as poison ivy is common in the area. Open from the first weekend in April through Thanksgiving Weekend.
Alpine Meadows Resort
Situated alongside Hallamore Lake, Alpine Meadows Resort is 24 KMs outside of Clearwater BC, the gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park. Choose from chalet, log suite or log home accommodations; or come see whats under the stars, and camp in your RV or one of our glamping tents. CHECK IN: Starts at 3 PM. Please note, Alpine Meadows is a small and remote resort, we do not operate a 24-hour Front Desk. Guests who anticipate arriving later than 9 PM should contact the resort in advance to confirm check-in procedures/availability. ** We are unable to accommodate arrivals after 9 PM without prior arrangements. ** DINING: Our onsite restaurant, The Boathouse, is open for breakfast and dinner daily. Dinner is by reservation only, please contact us directly in advance of your stay for available dinner times and to reserve, our restaurant closes after the last reservation has been served. GETTING HERE: Please remember that the road to the resort (via the recommended Clearwater route) is partially dirt/gravel. Please be sure to visit the "getting here" section of our website. Situated in the heart of the village centre, the Inn at Big White features excellent resort amenity access. Set amidst the spectacular Monashee Mountains, this 100-unit property offers a relaxing atmosphere. After a great day on the slopes, skiers and boarders love to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views from the comfort of their room. Brigadoon Golf Course
Brigadoon is a unique 9 hole course with 2 par 4 holes and 7 par 3's, playing to 1500 yards. Golfers of all ages and playing abilities will enjoy the course, but those expecting an easy par 3 will be surprised. The atmosphere at Brigadoon is friendly and welcoming, with the course open to the public 7 days a week, no tee times. The coffee's always on!
Chatter Creek
Situated on the western slopes of the Rocky Mountains, deep in the backcountry, Chatter is known for its large and spectacular terrain. Ski or snowboard our mind-blowing powder snow in 58,000 acres of alpine bowls, stunning glaciers and endless tree runs. This amazing place, Chatter Creek, is only a 3 hour drive and a gorgeous helicopter flight away from western Canadas second largest city, Calgary, Alberta.
