The Museum, formerly the Port Moody Station Museum, is owned and operated by the Port Moody Heritage Society (PMHS) to promote and increase the awareness and knowledge of Port Moody’s heritage and history. Exhibitions at the Museum include the Historic Port Moody CPR Station itself, now in its 3rd location. See artifacts and walk through the parlour, kitchen, and telegraph room, recreated to reflect the station as it was in the 1930s. The Museum is currently featuring the exhibit ‘Port Moody Industries’ & ‘Our Living Languages: First Peoples Voices in BC’, on loan from the Royal Museum of BC, and our own ‘Inclusion’ Exhibit. We’re committed to Reconciliation and sharing the histories of Indigenous Peoples. Enjoy community displays, the Heritage Garden and the Meditation Garden. Our restored 1921 CPR railcar, the “Venosta”, is available to explore or to rent for events. Country Maples RV Resort is located on Vancouver Island near the town of Chemainus, which is 14 km north of the City of Duncan. The Resort is nestled along the Chemainus River and is buffered by an old-growth forest. There is a variety of camping areas and amenities with 175 full and partial hookup RV sites (including 8 pull-throughs) with 15, 30 and 50-amp electrical service as well as dry camping and tenting sites. There are treed and open sites. There is an onsite (seasonal) general store, playgrounds, an arcade and laundry facilities; a heated swimming pool, 18-hole mini golf course.
