Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours invites you to experience some of the most spectacular whale watching, grizzly bear, and wildlife viewing in the world. Our commitment is to offer our guests an experience of a lifetime, to discover and explore the natural and human wonders of the Discovery Islands and Johnstone Strait. We pride ourselves on maintaining a high standard which guarantees our guests a safe, educational and memorable experience. Not only are our guides expert mariners, they are also certified naturalists whose love and ethical regard for marine wildlife is always evident. As the North Islands first company to have gone fully Carbon Neutral, the preservation of the environment is very important to us. For every person out on a tour with us, 1 square metre of old growth forest is protected on the West Coast of British Columbia!

An in-home gallery and studio featuring the work of multi-media artist Val van der Poel. Visitors will see a variety of original art and, if they want they can have a mini-lesson in watercolour, acrylics, paper quilling or Alphabet Art. The artist also offers private and group lessons as well as Watercolour Painting Parties - please book ahead.

The Kootenay Lake Historical Society is the custodian of the S.S. Moyie, the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. The Moyie plied Kootenay Lake for 59 years - it is now a National Historic Site and Museum. Open from May through October, visitors are taken back in time when the board the vessel. Fun for families and people of all ages!

Our story goes back a long way. Over a hundred years and five generations in fact. From running cattle to fruit growing, our family's experience and love for agriculture has remained strong. We've learnt a few things along the way; paramount being conservation. Being stewards of the land which has provided for so many, for so long, is a task we take seriously. Outer Shores Expeditions is a small-ship, niche adventure travel company specializing in multi-day wildlife and cultural sailing expeditions to Haida Gwaii, Vancouver Island, and the Great Bear Rainforest aboard our 70' classic wooden schooner, Passing Cloud. Our small-ship expeditions provide extraordinary and intimate opportunities from April to November, for small groups of six guests to be immersed in the ancient cultures and stunning wildlife of Canadas Pacific Coast.
