Chest waders or belly boats are all that is necessary for an extreme day of cast or fly fishing. View an abundance of marine life, including blue heron, bald eagles, whales, seals and many other species. Kayaks and paddle board rentals are available to paddle along the tranquil beachfront on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Relax in our oceanfront hot tub while watching wildlife such as Bald eagles soaring and cruise ships passing by. Gather around a beach bonfire to roast marshmallows or weenies. or cook clams/oysters picked from our beach. We have a giant tide pool, which acts as a hands on aquarium for the kids to see the many species of marine life that gets caught up every tide changes. The Deep Bay Marine Field research station is near by that has live tanks, and tours that explains about the many species they will find. Qualicum Breeze Beach Resort is a short 5 minute walk from town where you will find grocery's, liquor store, bank. pharmacy. Also you can browse through the Salish Sea Art studio and the intriging gift shop. There is also a Pub, Legion and number of local restarants to visit. .Centrally located for day trips to many points of interest on Vancouver Island. Hike on trails through pristine local Provincial Parks like Cathederal Grove, Little Qualicum Falls, or Rathtrevor Provincial Park or explore the Horne Lake Caves. Numerous shops in Qualicum Beach or Coombs on the way to Parksville. Stop and enjoy Coombs Country Market where it is known for the goats on the roof, also notable is the delicious ice cream and culinary experience at Cuckoo's italian Restaurant. Book a round of golf at one of the sixteen golf courses within an hours drive. Or perhaps a day touring the winery's and brewery's that dot the Islands coast line. Extreme Mountain bike trails are found on Mt. Washington during the Summer, and is great skiing and snow boarding during the winter. The Auberge Kicking Horse Guest House was operating as a 3-room B&B before the pandemic. The Auberge now operates as a Guest House Vacation rental only. This is the perfect home away from home. The Auberge is located within walking distance of restaurants and pubs. Our guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen. Welcome to Nass Base Camp! Two and a half hours north from the main lodge in Terrace you will find a cozy operation on the banks of Meziaden Lake that has a strong and loyal client base who return to this special place annually. If you are lucky enough to secure a spot, you will understand why anglers are drawn back here every year. The rivers are medium sized and easy to read and wade. Due to the lodges remote location, the chance of seeing other anglers is extremely rare. Each morning we will trailer our boats to different locations on multiple rivers. Our lodge is very casual and rustic. Rocky Ridge Resort is a 105 acres Resort which includes three Cabins, a Saloon and a Sauna. Do you love the Canadian wilderness but also enjoy the comforts of home? Then youve found the perfect spot at the Rocky Ridge Resort! Enjoy your time here in one of our lovely and very cozy log cabins. You can choose between one of our twin cabins or a smaller one which is a bit away from the other two. The twin cabins The Bear Cabin and The Eagle Cabin are pretty similar to each other. Both have a fully equipped kitchen with propane, two bathrooms with indoor plumbing and one with a shower, an open little living room with a woodstove in it, a separate bedroom with a queen size bed downstairs and three beds upstairs. So up to six people can stay there- perfect for a family or if you want to spend time with your friends! The third one the Honeymoon or Hummingbird Cabin is the smallest one. It have a fully equipped kitchen as well, a small livingroom, a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, two beds upstairs and one bathroom with indoor plumbing. We dont have electricity in any of our cabins, everything works with propane. Theres also a small house with a nice Sauna, a bathroom and a separate shower inside perfect to calm down after an adventurous day or just to relax! Guests with campers, caravans and tents are also welcome at our Resort.
