This motel strives for clean and comfortable rooms with comfortable duvets and pillows at an affordable rate. Accommodations vary - sleeping 1-4 persons. BBQ's are available for your personal use during your stay.

The Grizz Hotel opened in September 2019, in that time it has undergone renovations both inside and out. All the rooms were renovated at the start of 2020 including new bathrooms. We now also serve the Wing n' it franchise in both our onsite pub (the Last Drop pub) as well as our restaurant, where hotel guests can enjoy a 15% discount on food. Rooms come with a fridge, cable TV, air conditioning and WiFi access. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available anytime in the lobby. Our guest house is located in Rose Harbour, Kunghit Island; very deep within Gwaii Haanas National Park, Marine Reserve and Haida Heritage Site. Only accessible by floatplane! We provide 3 meals a day, offering authentic Thai cuisine being our specialty. We cook mostly with organic food and also from our large garden. Our guesthouse is rustic but comfortable with wood heat, communal shower and composting toilet. We don't have more then 8 guests at the time unless your group is more then 8! Our tour packages include accommodation, meals, and transportation by floatplane to/from Queen Charlotte Village. We also offer optional guided boat tours and sea kayak rentals in the area surrounding our location. Recommended sites to visit by boat are Ninstints/Skanggwaii (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Cape St-James, Rose Inlet, and many others nearby locations. We speak English, French, Thai and Lao. The suites are 700 - 800 sq feet in size and are very comfortable for two and spacious enough for four guests. Two of these suites have an ocean view with a sweeping view of the straight, the mountains and all the local ocean wildlife. **NOTE: there is NO ELEVATOR at this property and it is one flight of stairs from the main reception on Marine Ave if you choose a suite. There are also 3 hotel rooms with ocean views and a semi private deck.
