Trail, BC is located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of the southern BC interior. Nestled between the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains, Trail sits on the banks of the mighty Columbia River. The Trail Visitor Centre operates from the Trail Riverfront Centre in the heart of downtown Trail, sharing space with the Trail Museum & Archives and the Trail & District Public Library. Plentiful paid, on-street parking is available, with one free RV parking stall. We are also situated one block from the main public transit hub in downtown Trail. The NOMADIC BULL is a funky down country home B & B on beautiful 'Gabe,' (short for Gabriola Island). It is run by myself, my son Cole, and our Black Lab, Heidi. This well-treed campground offers a private and peaceful setting for campers of all kinds, with a deep forest on the south end in the first-come, first-served section, transitioning to a wetland on the north end in the reservable section. Lowhee Campground has 47 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 33 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, three washroom buildings with flush toilets and potable water, as well as a coin-operated shower house. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 50 feet long and 14 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs when backed into the sites. Pull-through sites are available in the Forest Rose Campground. Lowhee Campground is located along the west side of Barkerville Highway, 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Lowhee via the highway, or via a well-groomed walking path alongside the highway. Lowhee Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.

Let the certified and experienced SUP and or Fly fishing guides take you to see our beautiful waterways with guided tours, rentals, clinics, & courses. The shop also offers inflatable or rigid paddleboard rentals with delivery options.

Winter time is magical out here - our cabins sit amongst snowy trees and have wood burning fireplaces! Snowshoe trails are put in right on site as well. The cabins are all equipped with basic kitchenettes as there is no restaurant on site. Golden is a short, 10 minute drive away and offers a great selection of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. It's a must see property with lots to see and do.
