Discover the beauty of sailing in Desolation Sound We are a small niche adventure sailing company and sailing school operating from Cortes Island within the beautiful waters of Desolation Sound away from the usual busy city centers. We offer one- and multi-day sailing excursions on our 40-foot sailboat Mariah, focused on experiencing sailing, adventure, teaching, and providing Sail Canada-accredited sailing courses and certification. Our guides live to fish and make every fishing trip a memorable experience. You'll leave the dock in the good care of a great guide with years of fishing our local waters. The fishing areas near Campbell River are protected from the ocean swell of the west coast of the island and are home to five species of salmon as well as bottom fish. The scenery, wild life, and fresh air are exhilarating and a perfect backdrop for a perfect fishing charter. You are welcome to bring any food and drinks you would like to enjoy on the boat. You will need a fishing licence with salmon stamp which can be purchased at our local tackle shop or purchased and printed from any computer if you search "Canadian tidal fishing licence" the site will come up. We are happy to fish groups of any size and have experience arranging fishing for corporate charters. Four on the boat is maximum, two or three are best . Join us for a four hour whale watching experience that is fun and informative! Trips depart from Port McNeill, BC at 12:00 (noon) and are four hours in duration. Our 2024 price is $150 per person (plus 5% tax). Please contact us in advance for a reservation!
