Founded in 2004, the Smith Family built Howling Bluff Estate Winery and vineyard from scratch on our farm on Three Mile Rd that is now part of the famous Naramata Bench wine region. We released our first vintage, the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, in the spring of 2007. Four BC Lieutenant Governor awards, one Silver in the Decanter World Wine awards, one Red Wine of the Year award, and too many other accolades to count later, Howling Bluff is now focused on finding the best expression of our vineyard for our wines while making sure we create a legacy of a sustainable family winery that our children will continue with far into the future. From our solar panels to our biodynamic, organic and most importantly to us sustainable farming and winemaking practices, added to our efforts to buying local when possible to our most ambitious mission yet: to use, as much as possible, products that have the lowest possible footprint on our planet.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AUGUST 1, 2023. Nimpo Lake Resort is situated in the beautiful West Chilcotin region of BC. Our full-service log cabins are a perfect blend of modern convenience & country charm. The cabins are set on or near the lake, with gorgeous views of the lake & the coast mountains. Enjoy campfires at your private fire pit or in our large, screened in gazebo. One pet per cabin is welcome in 4 of the cabins. Two RV sites & One Tent site available, all firewood is provided. Rent a boat or bring your own and enjoy fishing for wild rainbow trout. Non motorized watercraft are free to all cabin guests. The area also offers horseback riding, hiking, nature viewing & flight seeing. Please call or email us for information and reservations. The Barn building on our property was left empty at the end of our horses lives. Not wanting to have the building unused, we eventually decided to expand our home-based art and photography business which had been housed for years in our much smaller studio into this great new space. After months of renovations ART IN THE BARN GALLERY was born. We went on, to further renovate space to house Gabriels full-service, in-house Photography Studio and a full service on site framing shop. We both have a long history of working in Victoria as well as years of experience in our professions and work spanning Canada and other countries. It is fabulous to have such a wonderful place to showcase our work. While we predominantly display our own art and photography, we also occasionally host other talented people with locally made artwork for display and sale which includes pottery, jewelry. A must see. Bavin Glassworks is a family owned and operated working Art Studio and Gallery specializing in Blown Glass. Established in 1988 by Pat Bavin, Bavin Glassworks continues to operate much the same way as it always has. People are welcome to view the glassblowers at work when they are in the studio, and then can view and purchase the wares made on site in the attached gallery.

Through the Haida Heritage Centre at Kay Llnagaay we celebrate the living culture of the Haida. Through our language, art and stories we share our relationship with the land and sea that which shapes, nourishes and sustains us. Kay Llnagaay protects and fosters Haida culture by reaffirming our traditions and beliefs, encouraging artistic expression, and serving as a keeper of all that we are. Kay Llnagaay is a place for the Haida voice to be heard. The Haida Gwaii Museum opened in 1976 and continues to build an international reputation for showcasing Haida historical and contemporary art, All-Island artists and an outstanding collection of objects, artifacts and scientific material culture. The Museum is committed to encouraging and facilitating creative dialogue and exploring a more holistic and critical view of the multiple and diverse ways of understanding Haida Gwaii home to one of the most prominent Northwest Coast First Nations cultures (Haida), and rich ecosystems in Canada.
