The Penticton & District Community Arts Council is located inside the historic Leir House Cultural Centre. Visitors are invited to tour the house while taking in the current art exhibition. The arts council offers fun art classes each month and has locally made items for sale in the gift shop. There are artists in residence to visit and it is also the home of the Penticton Potters' Guild and the Penticton Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts. Est. in 1983, Parksville Museum has become home to original heritage buildings from Parksville and nearby surrounding areas. Our collection includes Parksville's second oldest church, the original Parksville Volunteer Fire Department building, and 2 cabins from Craig's By the Sea Auto Camp. Grounds are open year round and buildings are open starting May 4, 2023 Thursdays through Mondays (closed Tues/Wed) from 11AM - 6PM. Visit the homesite of Will Haylmore, Deputy Mine Recorder during the Cariboo Gold Rush. The Bridge River Valley was one of the richest gold producing areas between 1930-1950, lots of amazing history to explore! Come and enjoy the open air site, pan for gold, sample homemade ice cream or shop at the local Artisan's gallery for unique handmade wares. A Visitor Information Centre is also on-site.

During the autumn and winter months, the Visitor Centre is not staffed. But you will find self-serve information available, such as maps, schedules, visitor tips and more.
