Once the home of Rossland's dairy, Red Barn Lodge is well situated for its current role of providing a convenient base for your Summer and Winter outdoor adventures. With wilderness starting at the backdoor and spectacular views of Red Mountain and Mount Roberts from the front, the guesthouse is just 5 minutes by car from Red Mountain Ski Area and Blackjack Cross-Country Ski Area.Rossland's downtown, with its great restaurants and stores, is just ten minutes away on foot. Trails lead from the yard into the backcountry for ski tours, snowshoeing, mountainbiking and walking on the many paths through the surrounding British Columbia Interior Cedar- Hemlock forest. The Trans-Canada Trail runs by just a couple of hundred yards away, through the Red Barn Lodge property. Snowshoes are available to guests.The lodge is well situated in 13 acres of private grounds. The mission of the Comox Air Force Museum is to preserve and teach the history and heritage of the Royal Canadian Air Force with a focus on CFB Comox, 19 Wing, and the west coast of Canada. A self-guided tour begins at the dawn of military aviation in WWI, WWII, Korea, the Cold War and United Nations Peacekeeping before reaching the section that features all of 19 Wing's past and present squadrons. The research library contains aviation reference materials, technical manuals, personal accounts, biographies, logbooks, and photographs. A well stocked gift shop is filled with clothing, hats, toys, and exclusive RCAF memorabilia. Heritage Air Park is home to a collection of aircraft that once flew at CFB Comox.

The Kootenay-Columbia Discovery Centre offers environmental education programs, events and tours at the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area (CVWMA). The CVWMA is a 17,000 acre wetland habitat that is internationally recognized as a wetland of importance (Ramsar Site) as well as an Important Bird Area of Canada. Educational initiatives include: school programs, summer nature camps, guided canoe and walking tours, and a variety of special events suitable for people of all ages. Join us seasonally from May-October for programs. Access to trail systems that meander through the wetland is possible year round. Viewing towers and boardwalks provide unique opportunities to explore this magical place.

Nile Point is a secluded, off the grid resort located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. The resort currently offers a tent platform and 500 sqft canvas tent with ensuite bathroom.
