Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing is a British Columbia original, sitting on Tyaughton Lake and surrounded by the Southern Chilcotin Mountains. The lodge offers a fusion of luxury and comfort while retaining a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. The area is renowned for outdoor adventure, with an endless trail system providing some of the best alpine biking routes, hiking trails and nature walks that BC has to offer. Kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding are complimentary to our guests. The resort boasts a beautiful lake view dining room & patio with stunning views, high arched ceilings and a breathtaking stone fireplace. The kitchen features a seasonal a la carte menu from a passionate team of chefs. The Spa includes 3 treatment rooms, an infrared and dry sauna, eucalyptus steam room, outdoor Hot Tub, yoga studio, and therapists who can assist you after sport or during your absorption of tranquillity. Additionally, guests can choose to stay at one of the three luxury wilderness chalets at the resort. Offering private accommodations for up to 18 guests (depending on the chalet), they are perfect for a family reunion or getaway. In the summer, if camping is more your approach, guests can choose from five RV lakefront sites and one non-lakefront site. We also have five tent friendly campsites available with water, washrooms, and showers. One tent per site, four people per site maximum.

We are 7 minutes drive from the Abbotsford International airport, and a 10 minute drive from the Abbotsford/Sumas border crossing to the United States. We are on the southwest corner of Simpson Road and Chardonnay Lane.

Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. The Penthouse suite is our most popular especially for family and friends reunions.

Fossil Beach Farm is a private 80 acre waterfront working farm. Bavin Glassworks is a family owned and operated working Art Studio and Gallery specializing in Blown Glass. Established in 1988 by Pat Bavin, Bavin Glassworks continues to operate much the same way as it always has. People are welcome to view the glassblowers at work when they are in the studio, and then can view and purchase the wares made on site in the attached gallery.
