Built in 1989 by owner/operator Chris Bennett from locally salvaged red cedar, Blackfish Lodge is a charming, family-run fly-in floating lodge located in British Columbia Canada, within the new Great Bear Rainforest, about 30 miles east of the northern end of Vancouver Island. Blackfish Lodge offers both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities for all skill and experience levels. When you fish with us there are no pre-set fishing hours, we will fish each day as conditions and your preferences guide us. Our tours are based in the Exchamsiks River Provincial Park, located on Hwy 16 about 35 minutes west of Terrace or 55 minutes east of Prince Rupert. We can pick you up in either community or you can meet us at the park site which is the launch point for your river adventure!! All tours are day trips which include a shore lunch of wild BC sockeye salmon cooked over the open fire, salads, drinks and dessert. Your tour and river adventure can last from 2 to 8 hours.
