Built in 1989 by owner/operator Chris Bennett from locally salvaged red cedar, Blackfish Lodge is a charming, family-run fly-in floating lodge located in British Columbia Canada, within the new Great Bear Rainforest, about 30 miles east of the northern end of Vancouver Island. Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre: Come and explore our exciting Nordic ski trails in beautiful Golden, BC! We provide 33 km of groomed trails and a 4km snowshoe loop to enjoy. Whether youre a seasoned Nordic skier or its your first time on the trails, we have a variety of terrain to suit all abilities. These trails are maintained by the Golden Nordic Ski Club in agreement with Recreation Sites and Trails BC. Situated only 1km from the popular Kicking Horse Resort, Nordic skiing is a fun activity to add to your winter holiday bucket list. Be sure to check out the new suspension bridge! Park visitors to Elk Falls will enjoy the extensive forest trail network and the hiking and biking opportunities available. Impressive waterfalls serve as a beautiful backdrop while hiking through coastal forests. Minutes from the main campground, visitors can explore the impressive new suspension bridge. Access to the bridge can be found off the Canyon View Trail. Adventurous park users will be awe-struck at the views found from this newly-built attraction! Firewood is available for sale from the Park Operator. Reservations are recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Reservations for this park are accepted for arrival dates from mid-May Labour Day. Elk Falls is open year-round (Winter Camping $11/night).

Home to the Worlds Largest Sculptured Anvil! We are open from April 1st until September 30th, 7 days a week. Something of interest for every age. For the middle aged and senior visitors our artifacts bring back many memories of how folks lived. Remembering what life was like as a kid, seeing the transition from horse power to engines. The collection of artifacts by the Association has evolved from focusing on farming equipment only, to including historical artifacts depicting all aspects of pioneer life. The Museum collection has grown to over 6,100 historical artifacts of farming equipment and pioneer life in British Columbia, on display in two buildings and an outside exhibit area.
