Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre
The Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre is a community museum that explores the human and natural heritage of the region from Sooke to Port Renfrew. The museum also operates the local visitor information centre for the region. We have both exhibits in the main museum building and around the grounds. In the Summer we are open 7 days a week. In the off season we are closed Mondays and most Stat holidays. Starting the first Thursday in June, and running until first Thursday in September, we host a night market from 5pm to 8pm and museum stays open during this event.We also usually are closed over Christmas and the first week of January. The museum holds various special event during the year, has a gift shop with local arts & crafts, plus can do special meals for pre-booked tour groups.

Our 24' Hewescraft welded aluminum boats are perfect fishing machines, each boat is equipped with top quality gear, electronics and radar and have covered seating to keep you warm and dry with large windows all around so no one will miss the action. Our boats also have flush toilets. *Our Covid safety plan includes cleaning and sanitizing of our boats after every charter!
Alert Bay Lodge
Once a church, our log lodge is perched on a knoll on the south shore overlooking the Johnstone Strait. The beach is just steps away. Constructed entirely of cedar, the Great Room (the former worship room) of this magnificent building features vaulted 14 cedar ceilings, four conversation nooks and a dining room with ocean and mountain views. Indigenous art hangs on our walls, and books of many variations grace our library. Outside is a wrap around sundeck. The lodge is the perfect place to take in the ocean, inhale the cedar aroma and loose yourself in the serene vibe of this place. We offer wildlife trip bookings, a choice of four included hot breakfasts, and a dinner service. Wifi and parking are included.

Moose Travel Network is an adventure tour and transportation network for 18 to 39 year old (and young at heart!) budget travellers in Western Canada. Based in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, we offer 13 tours departing from either Vancouver or Banff. Major destinations include Banff and Jasper National Parks, Whistler, and Vancouver Island. Our tours include hostel accommodation, transportation, the services of a driver/guide, National Park fees, and a select few activities and meals. We make stops en route for free sightseeing, walks and hikes, and we also organize optional adventure activities that our travellers can choose to participate in for an extra cost.
