The Flora's/Bamfield Inn property is a combination of 3 buildings. Newly renovated, the 12 'room' inn (in the back) has private accommodations and bathrooms, with a common kitchen and living room area for guests to use. The front building hosts an ocean front event room and family style accommodation unit for those that want to be right on the water and at the boardwalk. The middle and largest building on the property is a 100 years old, with TONS of history, and will soon to be a restaurant, a bar and have 8 upper suites/rooms (opening approx. May 2024). The building has 2 large decks overlooking the channel to enjoy, one being the FLORA's restaurant and bar, and 4 water view rooms are available as well. Our cabins are clean, comfortable, cozy and quiet. They are nestled in the forest at the base of the Rocky Mountains just 15 minutes west of Golden, BC. McLean Mill is a rare, surviving example of an early-to-mid 20th century logging and lumber operation in British Columbia. Established in 1925 by Robert Bartlett McLean, his wife Cora and their three sons, it continued as a family-run operation until 1965. McLean Mill was designated a national historic site of Canada in 1989 to commemorate its collection of extant resources related to significant aspects of the forest industry. Whether you wish to take in the history or to go for scenic walk with your family or fur baby, you wont be disappointed. The surroundings are breathtaking and informative. Grab the family, bring a picnic and make it a day at the Mill! 10am-4pm 7-Days/Week during the summer season, however the Mill and Steam Donkey are non operational at this present time.
