Guiding in many industries such as Ski touring, Heli and Cat skiing in a few different country's . He has made his home with his family in Golden BC and at Mistaya Lodge. David was working at Mistaya from day one and took over ownership in 2003. We host small groups of no more that 14 guests at a time. Crowsnest Vineyards was purchased by the Heinecke family in 1985 when the Winery, Restaurant and Guesthouse were launched. Named after the Crowsnest Highway #3, the family was an early contributor to the development of the Similkameen wine region and the wine and food has continuously evolved over the years. Siblings, Sascha and Anna Heinecke were instrumental in the evolution of the business and with the retirement of their parents, took over leadership in 2018 with a bold new vision. The vision is built on the bounty of the regionthe opportunity to express the spectacular local terroir from which we craft our wines and from which grows amazing, fresh ingredients included in our menus, pantry and bakery. We serve this bounty in a relaxed environment at our tasting bar, in our restaurant and on the view patio.

U'mista Cultural Centre is one of the longest-operating and most successful First Nations cultural facilities in BC, founded in 1980 as a ground breaking project to house potlatch artifacts which had been seized by government during an earlier period of cultural repression. The return of the potlatch artifacts not only provided U'mista's name ('the return of something important'), and sparked a general trend toward repatriation of First Nations and cultural artifacts, it caused the creation of a physical facility and human resources infrastructure which have been successfully operated for over two decades.U'mista now operates a modern museum and cultural education facility in Alert Bay. Their operations include the museum, an extensive art gallery and gift shop, group tours, and presentations by dance troupes.

Cheers Cowichan is now operated by MyGo Tours and Transportation. We offer group wine and brew tours, year round to wineries and pubs in the Cowichan Valley. We specialize in winery and craft brewery tours, We pick up and drop off from all locations from Victoria to Parksville. Your group is the only group on your private tour. We have a 14 and an 18 passenger bus with driver and local tour guide. Private transport is also available for events: weddings, corporate, festivals, sports teams. Professional and personal service. Groups only. Fees are per busload, not per person. We visit 3-4 wineries or brew pubs and one restaurant. Always best to email us or call us so we can personalize your tour.
