Salmo is the Hub of the Kootenays, with lower priced accommodation than Nelson. Come and enjoy little Salmo.

Access to the bridge can be found off the Canyon View Trail. Adventurous park users will be awe-struck at the views found from this newly-built attraction! Firewood is available for sale from the Park Operator. Reservations are recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Reservations for this park are accepted for arrival dates from mid-May Labour Day. Elk Falls is open year-round (Winter Camping $11/night).

The Barn building on our property was left empty at the end of our horses lives. Not wanting to have the building unused, we eventually decided to expand our home-based art and photography business which had been housed for years in our much smaller studio into this great new space. After months of renovations ART IN THE BARN GALLERY was born. We went on, to further renovate space to house Gabriels full-service, in-house Photography Studio and a full service on site framing shop. We both have a long history of working in Victoria as well as years of experience in our professions and work spanning Canada and other countries. It is fabulous to have such a wonderful place to showcase our work. While we predominantly display our own art and photography, we also occasionally host other talented people with locally made artwork for display and sale which includes pottery, jewelry. A must see. The Southside Lodge has 7 private cozy rooms available daily, weekly or monthly. We no longer offer shared accommodation. There is a shared full kitchen on the 3rd floor. The kitchen has two ranges, ovens, fridge/freezers and plenty of pots, pans, glassware, cutlery, etc. If you want to save money and cook your own food everything you need is there. That being said, the world famous Southside Diner is located on the ground floor. Theyre breakfasts are legendary and the line up on weekends is always out the door. There is a coin laundry, Southside Suds in the basement to keep your gear clean. Owned by the Southside Diner, the hours of operation are the same as the Southside Diner.
