At Whistler's retail "The Shops" at the Westin, Fathom Stone Art Gallery has expanded offering stone art classes daily for locals and visitors. Classes include the 1 hour pendant, 1-2 & 3 hour inukshuk, 3 hour 2-D wildlife, 4 to 6 hour 3-D bear, or 6+ hour freestyle classes. Class participants come and go as they please making their art at their own pace. You get to take home your completed soapstone carving made in the heart of Whistler village. Drop in's welcome from 12 noon to 6 pm, please come see the carving live! (9AM to 10 PM upon appointment 24 hours advance notice) Just bring yourself and lunch/dinner money, take-out food locations are on the village stroll. Tofino Surf School has taught thousands of people to surf young and old, including people with disabilities. We would love to get you started too!When you take a lesson with Tofino Surf School you have many options to choose from. You and your friends can opt to book a group lesson, you and your friends can join one of our scheduled lessons. You can can book a private 1-on-1 lesson or if you have some surf experience and your own equipment you can sign up for a surf guide where we show you the best surf spots and paddle out with you. Bulkley Valley Brewery was created by Bikers, Skiers, Boarders, Fisherman, paddlers and people who really enjoy a good beer. Located in Smithers BC they realized that this small town had no "Apres" despite the fact that it was a natural wonderland. People had no place to gather, to tell stories, to see friends that they had not seen in awhile, to meet new friends. Most of all though Smithers had no Craft beer. Bulkley Valley was made for the people. A True Northern BC Brewery, no glitz no glamour just a nice cozy brewery with damn good beer and even better patrons.
