Liard River Hot Springs is a river of hot water that provides relief to Alaskan bound travellers after a long day on the road. The hot springs complex is of national ecological significance and is well known for its natural setting in a lush boreal spruce forest. The park is such a popular stop over for tourists that the campgound fills up early each day during the summer months. Liard is also open year-round. There is a hot spring open to the public with water temperatures ranging from 42° C to 52° C. Facilities include a change house and composting toilet. A boardwalk, which leads to the hot spring pools(A natural river of hot water), passes through a warm water swamp and boreal forest that supports rich and diverse plant communities as well as mammal and bird species.

Gulf Islands National Park Reserve is closed for the season until May 15, 2021. Most green spaces and trails are still available for your enjoyment; however, the majority of visitor services are no longer available. Ten Mile Lake is a very popular recreational destination for local residents and visitors. It offers multiple lakeside picnic areas, change houses, playground, two large beaches with roped off swimming areas, a boat launch, reservable picnic shelter, walking trails and great fishing. The Lakeside Campground features attractive, treed campsites, showers and flush toilets. While the Touring Campground offers sunny, open sites with 23 pull through sites capable of handling even the largest RV's on the road. Take a rewarding 2-km hike on the old railway grade along the lake, and through the forest to a large beaver pond. For those that enjoy fishing but don't have a boat we have a great fishing dock that was installed in 2015 thanks to the efforts of the Fresh Water Fisheries Society of BC and the Quesnel Rod & Gun Club.
