The South Cariboo Visitor Centre is a charming log building and home of the unofficial "World's Largest X-Country Skis". Located along the 100 Mile Marsh, it's a great stop for a picnic and bird watching. For your convenience, restrooms, wireless internet, fenced picnic area and tons of information are available to you! Ask a knowledgeable and friendly Visitor Information Counsellor for assistance with local or provincial information and you won't be disappointed! Also enjoy a lovely selection of unique souvenirs and books for sale. We are OPEN year round so stop on by!

Built in 1928, Assiniboine Lodge was North Americas first backcountry ski lodge. Today it retains its rustic charm and welcoming spirit. Nestled at the base of iconic Mt. Assiniboine, the Lodge is surrounded by soaring peaks, alpine meadows filled with wildflowers, larch trees and turquoise lakes. Located 28 kilometers from the nearest road, it is a place of incredible peacea place where we disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature, family and friends. Winter and summer we are passionate about sharing our mountain home with our guests!

Cranbrook Tourism's downtown Visitor Information Centre is open year-round, providing locals and visitors to Cranbrook with information on accommodations, restaurants, shopping, directions and community services around the region. Cranbrook Tourism also operates a satellite Visitor Information Centre at 620 Van Horne Street (Elizabeth Lake), which is open from early June until Labour Day.

A glassblowing studio and adjacent gallery where recycled glass is used to create giftware and unique art pieces. Demonstrations, classes, and more. Super energy efficient glass furnaces, developed at The Foundry are in use now in over 30 countries. Over 250,000 pounds of scrap glass has been re-melted since 1996.

A gem of Vancouver Island Heritage; Filberg Park is nine acres of breathtakingly landscaped waterfront green space, gardens and heritage buildings, in Comox, British Columbia. The park features 130 varieties of trees, seasonal gardens, and hundreds of rhododendrons.At the heart of the site is the 1930s heritage lodge, the former home of local pioneers Robert and Florence Filberg. Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park have become a popular venue for picnics, weddings, art shows and special events including the popular Filberg Festival held each year on BC Day long weekend in August. Amenities include the Filberg Gift Shop* and Filberg Tea House. Both are open seasonally May to September.Entry to the Lodge is by donation and the park is free of charge except during special events. *Lodge and Gift Shop are open subject to volunteer availability.

Wildernest offers a unique getaway on the forested slopes of Bowen Island, just a 20 minute ferry ride from West Vancouver. Stay in a gorgeous 1971 Airstream which has been totally rebuilt into a super comfortable and memorable escape with every amenity possible included inside. There's even a turntable for playing records and a projector over the bed for unforgettable movie nights. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to create amazing gourmet meals. Just steps outside sits a tiny cabin with your own indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two. The location is totally private with over an acre of land to yourselves. You'll also have exclusive use of a wood burning fire pit, propane fire bowl, picnic table, hammock and charcoal BBQ. The property borders the 450 hectare Bowen Island Eco Reserve, a natural wonder rich in wildlife.
