Our family has been farming on this lovely part of the Oldfield valley since the late 1950's; first in strawberries, and then loganberries for the island wineries in the mid 1960's to 70's. We planted our vines in 2003 and opened our tasting room in 2012. Just 15 minutes north of Victoria near Butchart Gardens, we specialize in dry white wines and lively, lightly oaked reds. We grow Ortega - a signature grape for Vancouver Island, as well as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir (we make a rose and a red from this grape), Millot and Foch, as well as our low alcohol "Splash". We are an family oriented RV Campground with rustic cabins and modern cottages. We are located on beautiful Tchesinkut Lake in central BC, 16 km south of Burns Lake. We have 9 full service sites, 28 partial sites and 3 non serviced sites. All sites, cabins and cottages are located on 2300 ft of lakeshore. Our setting is natural with most of the campsites on grassed sites. We are not a hotel. You are required to bring your own linens, pillows and towels for your stays in the cabins and cottages. Cabins require a two night stay and the modern cottages require a seven night stay. Other facilities available are coin showers, coin laundry. Worms, ice and firewood are for sale. In 2016 we upgraded our internet service so the whole resort has wifi. Reservations are required for cabins, cottages and long term stays. One night stays in the campground are by first come first serve. We are proud to have owned and run this campground since 1984.
