Selkirk Mountain Experience has been listed as a "Best Adventure Travel Company on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure, three times. We are a family owned and operated adventure travel company, based at the Durrand Glacier Chalet, outside Revelstoke BC. This is a remote lodge, accessed by helicopter only. During summer months we offer alpine hiking with over 90 km of trails in a pristine and exclusive setting. Our 18 guests and resident marmots and mountain goats are the only beings using this trail network! In the winter we offer backcountry skiing, in the mecca of alpine powder skiing. Our 96 square km of private tenure offer some of the best skiing on earth, both in the alpine and in the trees. Glades, burns, 30+ summits, 10+ glaciers and the deepest snowpack in the Selkirk Mountains. In addition to the Durrand Glacier Chalet, we have two smaller chalets which we use to do overnight ski trips into the further reaches of our area. All three huts are clean, cozy and beautiful wooden chalets. The Durrand Glacier Chalet is our home base, with 11 private bedrooms and a spacious washroom facility steps from the bedrooms. This facility includes hot running showers, sinks and full indoor plumbing attached to a septic system. We also have a new sauna built in summer 2020 (primarily for winter use). The Durrand has fabulous alpine cuisine, with a private chef and a full staff of friendly, hard-working SME family. We have 21 rooms that are kitchenettes and 3 2-bedroom suites. We have very strong and fast free wireless access in all rooms. We have a beautiful ocean view and panoramic mountain view.
Cedar Ridge Golf course offers an excellent golf experience by providing guests with an 18-hole Par 3 golf course that can be enjoyed in less time than a full size course while still providing challenges to the practiced golfer and attainable successes to the beginner. There is also a log constructed driving range with heated stalls allowing for year-round practice.

Located on 20 beautiful acres of riverfront property, we offer 8 cabins and 2 lodge rooms. We have an amazing wedding venue - a rustic barn with just enough modern touches and beautiful exposed wood to make any event stunning! Ceremony and reception can be help at the same place with stunning backdrops of the mountains and Blaeberry River. Summer 2020 has us going back to our original business model rather than hosting weddings so we are excited to offer cabin rentals this year. If you've wanted to come stay with us in recent years and haven't been able to, now is your chance! Winter time is magical out here - our cabins sit amongst snowy trees and have wood burning fireplaces! Snowshoe trails are put in right on site as well. The cabins are all equipped with basic kitchenettes as there is no restaurant on site. Golden is a short, 10 minute drive away and offers a great selection of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. It's a must see property with lots to see and do.
