Settle in to our off-grid wilderness lodge for an afternoon of kayak skill and safety training before embarking on your kayaking adventure. Meals (both at the lodge and around the campfire) are prepared with organic produce fresh from our garden, eggs from our chickens, local seafood, and home-baked goods. We offer fun and rewarding adventured for all kayaking and fitness abilities. New kayakers are welcome but we also offer exciting challenges for experienced paddlers. We use high quality equipment and our certified kayak guides are friendly, experienced and professional.

The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre is a three-story, 30,400-square foot award-winning cultural centre designed to blend the traditional Squamish Longhouse with the Lil'wat Istken. Cultural Ambassadors share their knowledge and stories with guests, on a guided tour, augmenting the information shared throughout the centre's curated collection of cultural carvings, regalia, weaving and contemporary art. Traditional drum songs are shared at the top of each hour. See a traditional Istken Pithouse and Longhouse outside, as well as enjoying a Salish Forest Walk during summer. This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).

Chims Cabins is located on the west side of Port Alberni along Highway 4, just a 57 minute drive from the city centre and event venues. Ideal for travelers heading to Tofino, visiting for work, or couples seeking quiet comfort. We offer six (6) self-contained cabins with private entrances, full kitchens, and mountain views. Cabins feature queen beds or a combination of queen and double beds, with pull-out couches and roll-up cots available in select units. Amenities include free Rogers Business Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and one dedicated parking spot per unit (extra parking available upon request). Our eco-conscious property offers on-site garbage, recycling, and food waste disposal. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 guests sharing a queen bed) or number of beds provided. $25 + tax per night applies for each extra guest using the pull-out or cot. Langara Golf Course is a traditional-style course located on the south slope of Vancouver. Built in 1926 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the course was redesigned by Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom. The contoured, tree-lined fairways are easy to walk and make this challenging par 71 course appealing to players of all levels.The large rolling greens make scoring a challenge and, with its narrow fairways, accuracy off the tee is paramount. The walkability of the golf course makes it appealing to everyone.
