We tell great stories. We can explain how Creston got its wacky time zone. We can tell you about the steamship that became a tractor (sort of), the first airplane to land in Creston, and the teacher who refused to be fired. Speaking of "great" stories, there's "The Great Railway Race" and the "Great Creston Bank Robbery." And have you heard the one about the imaginary student in Grade Thirteen? Really, we're not making this up. Why would we? Truth is so much better than fiction. We can even help you tell the greatest story of all: your own. So come on in. Our Resort is situated only a 5 hour drive from Vancouver, BC on Mahood Lake Road. Come and enjoy the quiet that greets our guests. Walk our nature trails or just relax. Stay in our cozy cabins right on the lake or hook up your RV only a few steps from the lake. Enjoy the experience of hooking into a fighting Rainbow Trout up to 5 lbs., Kokanee (Land locked Sockeye) up to 2 lbs or a Lake Char up to 10 lbs. You'll love the serenity of nature and the pleasure of boating on a calm, protected 2 1/2 mile lake.

Ten Mile Lake is a very popular recreational destination for local residents and visitors. It offers multiple lakeside picnic areas, change houses, playground, two large beaches with roped off swimming areas, a boat launch, reservable picnic shelter, walking trails and great fishing. The Lakeside Campground features attractive, treed campsites, showers and flush toilets. While the Touring Campground offers sunny, open sites with 23 pull through sites capable of handling even the largest RV's on the road. Take a rewarding 2-km hike on the old railway grade along the lake, and through the forest to a large beaver pond. For those that enjoy fishing but don't have a boat we have a great fishing dock that was installed in 2015 thanks to the efforts of the Fresh Water Fisheries Society of BC and the Quesnel Rod & Gun Club.
