In winter we offer skiing and snowboarding over 3 Northern ski resorts, cat skiing, backcountry and snowmobiling. In summer we mountain bike, hike, paddle, view bears and whales and ride horses. Strongwater Camping and Cabins
Strongwater camping and cabins is the closest accommodation to the trail entrance to the world famous Skookumchuck Rapids. We offer 12 wonderful pull-in campsites each with fire pit and picnic table. We also offer 8 sleeping cabins with mini fridges, table and chairs and comfy beds. Modern, comfortable showers and bathroom facilities are on site for the use of all guests.

Larch Hills Cross Country Ski Area
Larch Hills Nordic Society is located half way between Enderby and Salmon Arm in beautiful British Columbia. Daily trail fees are affordable or purchase a membership for an economical option. We offer 57 km of skate/classic trackset trails; 114 km of ungroomed ski trails and 17 km of snowshoe trails. Our groomed trails are maintained by a PB Edge tracksetter and a side by side pulling the Ginzu groomer. There is a beautiful heated chalet with kitchen facilities and indoor washrooms. Our volunteers are active and provide daily grooming, a Safety Host program and ski programs and lessons for all ages.

A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Don't forget your camera as you transition from pine plateau to coastal rainforest, as there will be many photo opportunities along the way including grizzly bears and snow capped mountains. Artique is a co-op gallery of close to 30 Powell River working artists and craftspersons who collectively display their work for sale. These include greeting cards and works on paper, jewellery of metals and precious stones, pottery, soaps and lotions, photography, watercolour, oil, pastel and acrylics on canvas and board, fine textiles, stained glass, glass beads, and wood and stone sculptures.
