Our intimate 38-acre setting on Malcolm Island welcomes families, friends, business associates, and individuals as guests. A maximum of 18 guests per trip allows for personal service that cannot be matched. Built in the mid 1900s, the lodge is rich in history and unique architecture. The main lodge is the center of the property where you spend cocktail hour, and dine in our ocean view dining room. Our historic farm setting is also home to a herd of alpacas. While at Sointula Lodge, guests stay in one of our 12 guest rooms, which are either original Cedar cabins or small log cabins built with Vancouver Island Douglas Fir trees. All of our cabins are furnished to feel like a home away from home. Most rooms have two beds in each room and all cabins have a private bath. Comfortable beds are adorned with down comforters and cotton sheets. Fishing Package: Our calm, protected waters offer one of the most unique saltwater fishing experiences on the British Columbia Coast. The Discovery Passage Aquarium offers fun and unique hands-on educational experiences for people of all ages. Come to see, touch and feel our incredible local marine species and habitats and discover the diverse marine life of Discovery Passage and Islands. The Aquarium is open from spring until fall each year. Specimens from representative local species are collected from the marine environment in the spring and returned to the area of collection at the end of the season.
