Nanaimo Yacht Charters & Sailing School specializes in bareboat yacht charters with a wide selection of both power and sailboats, as well as instruction for weeklong sailing adventures along BC's magnificent coastline! We are ideally located at the head of the Gulf Islands, on Vancouver Island with endless, picturesque cruising as far South as Seattle and as far North as Alaska. This is a beautiful spot to come relax in a rustic log cabin on the lake! This fishing resort is 1.5 hours north west of Kamloops B.C. There are 8 log cabins total and five cabins that are lakefront with private docks. This amazing little place is tucked in the wilderness, where the natural beauty is. With sixteen lakes available to guests to fish with rowboats waiting for you, everyday is an adventure. The cabins at the resort all have row boats and electric motors included with you stay. These mountain lakes all produce beautiful Kamloops rainbow trout. This is a quiet place to relax, go for a swim, paddle, walk or hike and have some fun fishing for feisty trout by fly or lure.

This building is truly special. It is one of only a few commercial buildings in BC from this era with intact interior elements. It contains all of the counters, shelving, gas lights, string holders, paper dispensers, as well as a cash register, weigh scale, coffee grinder, cheese wheel and many other items that were used in the operation of the store. The museum aslo contains information on Ainsworth's rich history in the region. Stepping into this store is truly like stepping back in time. The museum also hosts an artisan gift shop filled with beautiful handmade goods as well as an amazing selection of crystals, gemstones, singing bowls, leather goods, and eco friendly Canadian made clothing.

After golf, Courses Restaurant in the new clubhouse (2015) offers tasty pub fare selections. Shannon Lake is located in West Kelowna, a short distance from the Coquihalla Connector. If you are traveling from the Lower Mainland region for a Kelowna golf package, this is a great facility to visit at the beginning or end of your Kelowna golf vacation. Some exciting renovation projects were completed in 2018, as a number of tee decks were re-shaped and designed to improve your golf experience at Shannon Lake.
