Elizabeth Lake Lodge is a Canadian Alpine designed lodge located at the south entrance to Cranbrook, adjacent to Elizabeth Lake Conservation area and walking trails. The lodge features the finest king and queen beds in Cranbrook, and every room has heated Italian tile in the bathrooms with locally made organic soaps. Built in 1989 by owner/operator Chris Bennett from locally salvaged red cedar, Blackfish Lodge is a charming, family-run fly-in floating lodge located in British Columbia Canada, within the new Great Bear Rainforest, about 30 miles east of the northern end of Vancouver Island. Blackfish Lodge offers both fresh and saltwater fishing opportunities for all skill and experience levels. When you fish with us there are no pre-set fishing hours, we will fish each day as conditions and your preferences guide us. Unlike an amusement park ride River of Golden Dreams trips allow you to be an active participant, one of the reasons people keep coming back to paddle the river. In the spring the water levels can be high and moving though always flat and no rapids. By mid-summer water levels are gentle. By late summer the beaver start rebuilding their dams creating pools to paddle in. Guides are recommended, though experienced river paddlers go unguided.
