Coquitlam Heritage Society operates Mackin House Museum. Mackin House is one of the last remaining Fraser Mill homes. Located on the corner of Brunette Avenue and Marmont Street, Mackin House has been a landmark and monument in the community since it was built in 1909. The Daajing Giids Visitor Center is located on the waterfront with gorgeous ocean views. We are an excellent local source of information when visiting Haida Gwaii. Inside the longhouse inspired building you will find engaging, resourceful staff, artisan galleries, a gift shop as well as useful interpretive materials. Head outside to our garden and picnic area to relax and take in the fresh air. We also have a large day parking area for RVs and clean indoor public restrooms. We are closed seasonally from December until mid-April. We will be intermittently checking our email; and voicemail messages throughout this time. Stay tuned for our reopening date in Spring!
