Our heritage cottages have been renovated to modern standards. Settled on a private one acre point with morning sunrises to start your day and evening sunsets to finish your day. Low bank ocean front with two sandy beaches and tidal pools for hours of entertainment and great swimming. Next to East Point Park where the Orcas travel on a regular basis. You could reach out and touch one, but we advise you use your camera instead! Watch the sea lions, seals and dolphins frolic in the ocean as you relax on the front lawn. Be amazed by the bald eagles diving for their dinner, and be prepared to be startled by a deer nibbling the tree outside the bedroom window. Your stay also gives you access to 44 acres of private hiking trails for you and your dog to enjoy off leash walks. The cottages are fully equipped with linens, towels, full kitchen and outdoor barbecues. You do not need a 4 wheel drive to reach our retreat as the roads are well paved and great for biking. Bring your boat, kayak, or canoe and launch it at our private boat ramp.

The Cowichan Regional Visitor Centre (CRVC) is located adjacent to the BC Forest Discovery Centre in Duncan, BC. The friendly and knowledgeable information councilors at the CRVC are prepared to help you plan and navigate your trip, and will make you feel at home in the luscious Cowichan Valley. The Visitor Centre is within a 10 minute drive of many of the region's highlights, including the famous Duncan City of Totems, Chemainus City of Murals, world-class wineries, quaint artisan galleries, and unforgettable whale watching experiences. If you're looking for lunch recommendations or a place to stay, our councilors would be happy to help make bookings and provide directions. Cape Scott Provincial Park is a truly magnificent area of rugged coastal wilderness that is located at the northwestern tip of Vancouver Island, 563 kilometres from Victoria. Cape Scott is characterized by more than 115 kilometres of scenic ocean frontage, including about 30 kilometres of spectacular remote beaches. The rugged North Coast Trail is a challenging and popular 43.1 km hiking track that connects many pristine beaches by stretches of tough overland passage. The park stretches from Shushartie Bay in the east, then westward around Cape Scott and south to San Josef Bay. Rocky promontories, salt marshes and jagged headlands punctuate the fine-textured, white-sand beaches. The most impressive of these beaches, Nels Bight, stretches more than 2,400 metres long and 210 metres wide at low tide, and is one of the parks most popular camping destinations. Other significant beaches include San Josef Bay, Guise Bay, Experiment Bight, Lowrie Bay and Nissen Bight.
