Situated in Jim Hadgkiss Park, overlooking the Fraser River, the museum collects, preserves, and shares the culture and stories of historic Maple Ridge. Operated by the Maple Ridge Historical Society, the Maple Ridge Museum and Haney House Museum are free community museums located in historically significant buildings in the old district of Haney. The Silvery Slocan Museum, located in the former Bank of Montreal building on Main Street, has been a fixture in New Denver B.C. for over 100 years. The museum features exhibits about the area's heritage, including its mining, logging and agricultural history, as well as the recently restored Lancet motor launch. Admission is by donation.
