Blue Ocean Golf Club (formerly the Sechelt Golf and Country Club) is a championship par 72 located in beautiful Sechelt, British Columbia on Vancouver's Sunshine Coast just a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. With tees ranging from 5,351 to 6,553 yards the golf course is a test for all abilities. There are two large greens to practice putting and chipping, a full service Practice Tee and our Professionals offer a complete range of instruction and coaching programs designed to assist you in reaching your potential and gain the enjoyment that playing better can bring. We have a fleet of 36 electric Club Cars and 4 Golf Boards available for your golfing pleasure! Please note: The Blue Ocean Bar and Grill is closed Jan 16 until early/mid February. Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.
