Where History Comes to Life - Stroll down the streets of our 1920s community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Visitors can feel the heat of the fire as the blacksmith works at the forge, hear the rhythm of the platen press at the Burnaby Post, smell freshly ground coffee in the General Store, be a 1920s student in a one-room schoolhouse, watch the tinsmith cut, crimp & curl flat sheets of tin into useful household items. Everyone is welcome to take a ride on the 1912 CW Parker Carousel, explore the restored 1912 Interurban Tram, and enjoy a treat in the Ice Cream Parlour. The Village is open seasonally (Spring Break in March, Summer Season- early May to Labour Day, and Heritage Christmas-late November to early January) and year-round for pre-booked groups and programs.

Welcome to the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin. We are situated on Broadway Avenue South, Williams Lake serving on the traditional territory of the Secwepemc, Tsilhqot'in and Dakelh Nations. The Museum is a tribute to Williams Lake and the Cariboo Chilcotin regions. If you are looking to step back in time come on in we would love to open our doors to you. Nestled in the Cariboo Chilcotin, the Museum provides history and displays on the region, local ranching and rodeo heritage, it is also the home to the BC Cowboy Hall of Fame as well as exhibits on Indigenous Peoples, Railway, Mining, Medical, and Forestry just to name a few. Admission is by donation supporting local and provincial heritage. Our winery is evidence of what one man with vision, determination, and a little luck can accomplish. Proprietor and winemaker, Ted Kane, developed a passion for winemaking at a young age. Many Alberta winters were spent learning and planning how to accomplish his ultimate goal; owning and operating a winery in Canada's premiere wine producing area, Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. 10 years after acquiring it, this perfect piece of raw land has been transformed into a 7 acre vineyard producing several varieties of high quality fruit, a fully functioning winery with a boutique tasting room and, most importantly, our family home. We specialize in the Bordeaux varietals, but also have a selection of white wines and a unique, full bodied Malbec Rose.
